Now there’s some BS for you.

So, Lady Gaga won a GLAAD award. Cuz, you know, there’s nothing like supporting the lgbT community like making an openly transphobic video.
The Bad Romance hitmaker was honoured with the Outstanding Music Artist award in recognition of her most recent album, The Fame Monster, and for her efforts in promoting equality in the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) community.
BLAH. Whatever.
E.T.A. link from pink bat princess – – “..It’s not sexy, I look like a tranny.”
I think what one person said about this sums it up really well. She is so concerned with being associated with transgendered folks that she is constantly trying to distance herself from us and that she’s “a real woman”. If she really didn’t care about her image, or if she were simply “fascinated” with that rumor, she would’ve ignored it instead of constantly trying to disprove it. Or use that image to be “shocking”.
I doubt very much she even realizes or cares about the true image she projects. It just seems to me that in her attempt to be all “I am freaky, deal with it”, she ends up associating LGBT people with being freaky. It turns us into a sideshow for people to giggle and point at. It’s damaging to all of us.
Also, Grace Jones is very attractive, don’t know what Gaga is talking about with that noise.
Quick note, because I cannot edit replies. I should learn by now never to read the comments on articles like these. I just love being told by other people what I should consider to be offensive. The phrase, word, and label “tranny” IS highly offensive to, what I’ve experienced, the majority of transpeople. You don’t think it’s offensive? Neither did white people with the n word back in the 50s. Gonna stop there, I think, otherwise I will get into commentators automatically associating transsexuality with transwomen and utterly ignoring transmen, which is sadly common.
